Orlo, A History of the Planet of Gold

Age of Creation. Orlo was the fourth planet that Arua breathed life into. The Goddess created a world of deserts and badlands, to create warmth and light for the rest of the planets. Oro, the God of Fire that lived at the core of Orlo, created so much heat, that hardly any life could be sustained on the planet's arid lands. The vast expanses of sand across the surface of Orlo were almost white, reflecting the heat of the planet as an exuberant light across the Sea of Souls.
Age of the Devil Pest. Present time. Queen Alana (the youngest pharaoh queen in the history of Orlo) rules the fourth planet. The desert lands have long been closed to conventional interplanetary exchanges. Now, only pirate ships and the occasional Akram Kingdom overseer visit The Planet of Gold. Yet it is anything but gold. Orlo has completely lost its luster, and although Zulie is still manufactured there, the Orlean home is once again poor and downtrodden. Seen from Junon, the planet still shines brightly and warm like a fervent star, but Orlean life on the fourth planet is cold and grim.

The Orlean Portal is a magical living being that connects different points in time and space while it breathes. It inhales to take you in, and exhales you to appear somewhere else. The Orlean Portal is the only interdimensional being of its kind, as yet to be discovered in the world of ROSE.

The Orlean Portal has begun to teleport strange beings, from other dimensions, onto the surface of the planet. And Orlo is being plagued by a foreign life force, that can ruin the balance of society, nature, and life as the Orleans know it on the fourth planet. The rift that has been opened interdimensionally forces Orlo to evolve beyond anything any other planet has ever become. The lands that were once dotted strictly with sand, can now be found to have a more organic feel to them, as plant life and creatures from the Rift attempt to coexist with the native Orleans. To create a new Orlo, a more diverse yet complicated planet.

Either Arua or Hebarn has secretly allowed the Visitors to rediscover the Orlean Portal, to have access to Orlo once more, and eventually reach Hebarn. One of the most powerful Gods of ROSE has the intention of opening the doors between Junon and Hebarn once more. But which one of the Gods... is behind this...?
The Blackbears, interdimensional tribesfolk (called Rifters by the Orleans), are stranded in Orlo. In their pursuit of integration, they have shown themselves invaluable to the Orlean community, participating in the planetary work force as well as in many political battles. Some Orleans welcome this. Others, fear that they will be overtaken by the possibly superior alien race. There are whispers of uprising, and already talks of an imminent Orlean civil war...
If there ever was a time for the Orlean Portal to come back to life, and bring the Visitors forth to Orlo once more... it is now. The Orlean Ambassadors are waiting for the Visitors to come through the Orlean Portal. The fourth planet needs to be saved once and for all. And of course the Visitors are, after all, the ones born to do it.
